About eMax

The new CODEL eMax system gives boiler operators the tools to drive down process steam costs with real-time displays of boiler parameters and diagnostic tools which enable operators to identify areas of concern. In addition, CODEL offers a service that generates weekly emails which identify operational issues that require attention. With future fuel costs predicted to rise, operators of steam boilers need to identify significant savings and eMax provides them with the requisite tools.

The eMax solution provides a comprehensive array of boiler sensors communicating with an advanced data acquisition unit (DAU). Data are collated and stored within the DAU where they can be interrogated locally through the eMax screen and in addition, data are uploaded to a remote server where, with password protection, they can be viewed on PC’s, tablets and smart phones and analysed via our dedicated web application.

All major operating parameters are displayed real-time on a dashboard display to provide an instantaneous over-view of current boiler status. Each display gauge can be selected and enlarged by clicking on the gauge. A daily report of total steam generation, energy use, and steam/fuel ratio is provided here. By entering the current fuel costs in £ per kWhr of energy, fuel costs for the period displayed are provided along with a cost of steam production in £/tonne of steam produced. A month over-view of steam production, energy usage and steam/fuel ratio provides a simple and useful trend of boiler operation, to identify any long term trends in either steam usage, boiler operating regime or boiler performance in terms of cost of steam produced. In order access detailed performance characteristics, a diagnostic display function enables a variety of user selected key operating parameters to be graphed and analysed.
